F4F Wildcat

The infamous Naval Fighter of WW2 and the best Pacific Fighter during its early pre-pacific war era, the F4F Wildcat is designed after the F2A Buffalo and shares its counterpart with the A6M2 Zeros in flight. Royal Navy called it the Martlet and became one of the famous fighters for the Royal Navy.

The F4F Suffers from one thing, Pilots need to clutch the gear many times in order to access the Landing Gear to land on a Carrier.

The F4F Carried 20mm Browning Machine guns, 2 100lbs bombs as an optional for bombing sea/ground targets. Its first flight is in Midway, Battle of Guadalcanal, Coral Sea and Marians Turkey shoot. It remained in service until 1943 and replaced by a new fighter called the F6F Hellcat.

Several Variants of these fighters are still on museum as of Today.

Mike: "Hey have you seen those F4F Wildcats doing an airshow?"
James: "Those things?, those are Legends of the Pacific, my friend."
