"in your face"book

The use of an online social networking site where one may post insulting, critical or rude comments about someone on their friend list, with the passive-aggressive hope that the intended target will read their wall, and know it is about them. This strategy is a substitute for confronting the individual in person.

Man, that was a real "in your face"book move to hack your boss like that in your update. Do you think he read it yet?

Off-your-Face-Booking

Going online to social networking sites eg. Facebook after a few too many drinks and doing things you may later regret or even forget.

"I was stupidly Off-your-Face-Booking last night and poked some people I shouldn't have!!"

Face your books

A figurative way that means "to be educated"

Since youโ€™re thinking about finishing my degree, youโ€™ll have to face your books again.

In-Your-Face-book Friend

A Facebook Friend who constantly posts or re-posts religious or political slams...or other "In-Your-Face" type content.

Jane: Did you see what your cousin posted on Facebook? I don't know why we're Friends...he's always posting stuff that pisses me off.

Joe: Yeah...he's my In-Your-Face-book Friend. If he's posted that Chick-fil-A crap once, he's posted it a thousand times! Enough already...get that shit outta-my-face, man!

leave Facebook and face your book

A pun used by boomers, e.g parents or teachers, when they want to encourage a kid to study while trying to be hip and trendy despite Facebook being an irrelevant website today.

Kid: *is playing a mobile game*
Boomer: leave Facebook and face your book!
Kid: I'm not even on Facebook wth
