The Tina Fey Effect is a phenomenon where a food item that is mild to the taste at initial ingestion becomes progressively hotter. The effect is aptly named after the actress/writer/comedian of SNL and 30 Rock fame.

It comes from Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, which negatively affected the public's opinion of Palin.
The Fey Effect is partly responsible for Palin's relevancy declining significantly in the past 10 years.
