Fool in the rain

One who is waiting to meet someone, but is waiting in the wrong spot. See Fribley accident.

This is an allusion to the Led Zeppelin song "Fool in the Rain"

I thought she was late, but I was just a fool in the rain.

the chorus of the song is "light of the love that I found"

Well there’s a light in your eye that keeps shining
Like a star that can’t wait for the night
