Hiroshima effect

Hiroshima Effect

Refers to the sudden rush or onset of a state of intoxication that occurs after the user enters a warm climate after consuming Marijuana out in the cold.

Usually associated with the consumption of Marijuana or Marijuana derivative.

Unknown origin, but assumed to be coined in Ontario, Canada around 1988.
It draws on the idea that a sudden rush or onset of extreme intoxication (really high) is like being hit by an atomic bomb.

Smoking a joint in the parking lot of a nightclub in weather below -5C, gives you a little buzz. However, when you go inside to a very warm dance floor you suddenly realize how incredibly stoned you are.
This is the Hiroshima effect.
