Severe weather conditions that occurred in Scotland on the 8th of December 2011. Named after the Glaswegian slang for 'scrotum', the 'hurricane' was not actually a hurricane, but extreme winds that disrupted travel and forced the closure of many schools, universities and businesses. The name was a result of a trending topic on Twitter.

The hurricane that hit Scotland was aptly named hurricane bawbag. Scots thumbed their noses at mother nature and reduced winds of upto 160mph to that of a scrotum. Mon the scots!
