Incredibly overrated player.
Don't get me wrong, he's a very good player. He makes great contact (career .331 hitter; although batting average doesn't really mean that much). His plate discipline is somewhat poor though (career .377 OBP; only 46 points higher than his BA). Also, like 93% of his hits are for singles (he averages 228 hits, 25 doubles, 8 triples, 9 home runs per season). He also has a career .807 OPS (meh).
Person 1: Ichiro Suzuki is the greatest leadoff hitter.
