The term coined by a UK band called Hadouken. They mention the term Indie Cindy in their lyrics to their song, That Boy That Girl.
"That girl's an Indie Cindy,
Lego haircut and polka-dot dress,
I don't care if she thinks she's indie,
How she's different is anyones guess."
An Indie Cindy is described as a girl with painted eyebrows, lego haircut, wears a polka-dot dress, carries a shiny red handbag that matches her shiny red shoes, is spotted at indie night clubs, pouts while dancing or posing for pics, wears glowsticks, goes to Klaxons gigs, idolizes The Pipettes or Karen O, and loves the following: mascara, vodka and coke, pink, the 50's, skinny boys, kitsch, myspace and NME.
That girl is an indie cindy!
She is sooo indie cindy!

Is a phrase coined by indie band Hadouken!, from the song "That Boy That Girl".
"That girl's an indie cindy,
Lego haircut and polka-dot dress,
I don't care if she thinks she's indie,
How she's different is anyones guess".
The term is actually a piss take of indie wannabes, and the stereotype of indie kids. Dumb, naive indie wannabes then change their myspace name to "indie cindy" trying to be cool, or show the vast knowledge of indie music lyrics. All the time actually looking like a complete moron.
Fake indie girl: Hadouken are well bum, I'm such an indie cindy.
Real Indie Girl: Your a complete fuckwit, please die in a tent fire.
Fake Indie Girl: Oh my days, I well need a lego hair cut! That would be so safe!

Coined by Hadouken! during a ravenous sing song, a girl who wears polka dot dresses and has hair resembling that of a Lego lady. Often these people attend public school (or private school if your American) and are scenesters.
Often seen buying beads in ''alternative'' outlets and behaving moodily. A common misconception of these people is that they may have received some form of botox in the lips due to an irregular and permanent myspace pout or pulling a screwface.
Often indie cindyβs and their complimentary pink-polo and tight black jeaned male friends do not realise they are not needed at gigs and provide embarrassment for themselves and give bands they follow a bad reputation.
Apparently highly contagious, the QUELP Knights are currently searching for a cure; although the breed may eventually kill themselves if they chose to cross the road rather than going down the street.
''That girls and indie cindy; lego hair cut and polka do dress, i don't care if she thinks she's indie, how she's different is anyone's guess''

The female version of an 'indie kid', or 'indie limey'. Most often seen wearing polka dots and large bags over one shoulder. Also they might have messy 'bed hair' and perhaps wearing what's called an 'indie band' across their forehead, over a large sweeping fringe. Awkwardness and nerd-fashion is a must when it comes to indie cindies. Think Topshop when you think indie cindies; the style originated from shops like that, when girls began creating 'unique' fashion.
A Hadouken! song 'That Boy That Girl' has the lines "That girl's an indie cindie, lego haircut and a polkadot dress." in it.
Cassie from the TV series Skins is a good example.
