Possible origins include serial killer John Wayne Gacy, who became known as the "killer clown" when he created a series of oil paintings on death row on the subject of clowns; or an incident in Boston in 1981 in which dozens of reports surfaced of children being abducted by people dressed like clowns.

“I was always afraid of Killer Clowns”, I said to myself, but luckily there were no killer clowns in sight. That was until I realized it was Killer Clown Tuesday.
A clown associated to the horror genre. Fictional clowns that are created to scare and entertain. These clowns are not actually killers , they portray a horror character.
Can’t wait to see the killer clowns at the haunted house. They are my favorite characters.
