Short for middle, Mid is generally a synonymous term with mediocre, in some instances replacing the word β€œmeh.”
1. Average; uncommon; mediocre.
2. Usually referring to some form of media or entertainment, i.e movies; mid-tier.
3. Derogatory for when someone or something is of such quality that it is neither good nor bad, making it less than fair; lackluster.
4. Usually referring to something that isn’t preferable but still on an acceptable level; passable; adequate.

Originally solely used by cannabis enthusiasts to describe flower of average quality (not quite subpar, but not dank either), this word is now widely used to describe anything of average quality, especially when the item is question has a lot of hype.
