moonlight

A 2016 film, about a black boy coming to terms about his own identity, in poverty stricken area of Liberty City, Miami. Far better than the similarly themed Boyhood, and Oscar Front-runner the same year La La Land, both very overrated films.

Moonlight is one the best films I have ever seen
I am so Glad Moonlight won Best picture over La La Land, one of the few times the Oscars didn't fuck up.

moonlight

The name of a film, directed by Barry Jenkins, that portrays the life of a young, black, gay child growing up in Miami during the 1990s cocaine epidemic. The film shocked everyone in the 2017 Oscars when it undeservingly beat frontrunner "La La Land" for Best Picture after Warren Beatty read the wrong card.

After Warren Beatty screwed over La La Land, the producers of Moonlight went onstage to accept an award that they did not deserve.
