An indie band made up of Isaac Brock the lead singer, Eric Judy the bassist, and Jeremiah Green the drummer. They've released four albums: This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About, The Lonesome Crowded West, The Moon and Antarctica, and Good News For People Who Love Bad News. They're an amazing band because of their quirky lyrics that somehow make sense in the end.
The track 3rd Planet off the Moon and Antarctica album was a great opener

Modest Mouse is, to be quite honest, the greatest band of all time.
They hail from Issaquah, Washington, and are fronted by Isaac Brock, who, despite being raised in a trailer park, has written some of the greatest lyrics in music.
They became widely known when, in 2004, they released Good News For People Who Love Bad News, which is more upbeat than their earlier work, and it's songs (Ocean Breathes Softly and Float On) began being played by every radio station in the US, at least one an hour.
Members:
Isaac Brock - Vocals/Guitar
Eric Judy - Bass
Jeremiah Green - Drums/Percussion
Dann Gallucci - Guitar/Keyboards/Synthesizers

One of the few Indy Rock bands of our generation who have produced albums which can be considered musical and lyrical masterpieces. They have released at least 8 records under 2 different producers: 'Up Records' and 'Epic'. Modest Mouse has a unique sound, and a habbit for memorable musical song extensions and clever song endings which lead into following songs.
"Dude, your Modest Mouse is on fire!"
"This would be so much better with a Modest Mouse"

1. A great band led by Isaac Brock. Brock also did Ugly Cassanova. Though they have many many great songs, some dumbass people have described them as emo - which is COMPLETELY false and retarded. I am afraid, too, that they will be considered a one-hit-wonder in the future because their only hit has so far been Float On.
Hey, have you heard of Modest Mouse?
Yeah, they did Float On, right?
You go to hell. *puches buddy in face, then groin*

American alternative rock band formed in 1993 in the Seattle suburb of Issaquah, Washington by singer/lyricist/guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, and bassist Eric Judy. Since their 1996 debut album, This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, their lineup has centered around Brock, Green and Judy. Guitarist Johnny Marr (formerly of The Smiths) joined the band in May 2006, along with percussionist Joe Plummer (formerly of the Black Heart Procession) and multi-instrumentalist Tom Peloso, to work on the album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Guitarist Jim Fairchild joined the band in February 2009.
I love Modest Mouse. One of my favorites is a song called Little Motel!

They've always been godly. However, with their latest album, "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank", they have reached a new level of godliness. They have reached the Cthulhu level of godliness. I would sacrifice newborn children to them if they requested it, and I consider myself lawful good. I would give myself up sexually to all the members if they requested it, and I'm not homosexual. They have the uncanny ability to become incredibly popular, yet at the same time remain completely and totally indie. They are awesomeness incarnate.
Isaac Brock: You just had a son, right?
Me: Yes, my master Isaac.
Isaac Brock: Sacrifice him to the glory of Modest Mouse!
Me: Yes, my master Isaac.
