Mont Belvieu is known for numerous petro-chemical facilities within its jurisdiction which provides the large tax base for the city and the area school district, Barbers Hill ISD. Mont Belvieu has a current population of around 6,500.
Mont Belvieu has seen dramatic growth in the last 10 years.

The Brookstone Subdivision - Mont Belvieu has a bad reputation due to their Facebook page and unnecessary childish drama causes by a few residents.
