NV-A'ke

When one unexpectedly and unsuccessfully tries to draw attention from ones own failings or responsibilities by blaming an individual or group, preferably from a certain ethnic or religious background.

Otherwise known as doing an "NV-A'ke doen" or Scapegoating.

Homans f*cked up again with providing the incorrect and outdated statistics to the meeting.

Demir unsuccessfully diverted Homans' new blunder by badmouthing unsuspecting party.

Everybody knew she was doing an NV-A'ke.

Hilde was responsible for the educational system. Because parents were camping in front of schools, she tried to divert her failings by blaming a minority group.
