(Trademark) A website that you can host your game mods in there, such as mods for Skyrim and Fallout 4.
"Downloading Stardew Valley mods are awesome all thanks to NexusMods and their creators hosting them."
Modding website which gatekeeps most Bethesda game mods behind a login wall and in some cases, a paywall. Most modders will only upload to Nexus because they are promised some sort of payment for number of downloads, so you are screwed if you don't want to go through their hoops, as mod mirrors are actively taken down by the mod authors themselves.
This website is not just a repository however, as there are strong policies in place to ban shared accounts or mods the admin team might find distasteful or disrespectful. Examples where this is not the case include a Skyrim mod that lets you interact with children NPCs like you would with a normal NPC, most commonly downloaded alongside a mod that lets you have sexual relationships with NPCs. Take of that what you will, but the NexusMods admin team has a pretty well known reputation.
Use this website under your risk, and if a mod you like got gatekept but this place, I feel for you.
Damn, those NexusMods admins still have not taken out the PDF file mod combo for Skyrim? You would think they would have seen it considering it's among the most popular mods in the website.
