When someone has a problem and the person they are describing that problem to tries to either come up with, or tell a story that is better than the other person's.

Woman: I'm making a big commitment because I'm getting married.
Guy: I'm making a big commitment by marrying a girl that I got pregnant.
Guy: You've just been problem topped.
