Rictus Scale

Originally a mis-hearing of the earthquake-measuring "Richter Scale", this measures how far your jaw drops when told a surprising or shocking fact. Anything above a Rictus Scale of 7 means you look like Jim Carrey waking from a nightmare.

"When I said we were breaking up, his face measured 7.3 on the Rictus Scale."
