sidetraction

The noun form for something that side-tracks you. Similar to a distraction, it's often produced by Wikipedia, Facebook, or YouTube.

Well, I was typing my essay, when I decided to check my e-mail, and then there was a link to this funny video on YouTube... It was just a little sidetraction, that's all.
