Soul Pumpkin

A soul pumpkin is a flowering plant which originated in southern Africa and is particularly cherished by those of African descent (also known as a soul brotha or soul sista). It is commonly served along side of fried chicken and purple drank. It is commonly known as a watermelon.

Soul pumpkin may also be used as bait when it is necessary to trap or distract a person of color.

1. Yo Latesha, why don' you get me a plate of dat fried chicken and piece of soul pumpkin.

2. Hey Jamal, dat soul pumpkin sho' is good on a hot summers day.
