A painfully awful situation to be in, such as a sporting event where your team gets absolutely trounced, or any event that downright sucks -- although it was expected to be a "good time".

Johnny: Did you see the playoff baseball game yesterday?
Thibeault: Yeah, I was there dude..and it was a total stinkfest -- not only was it a 14-0 loss but the weather sucked and we spent $500 on playoff tickets!
