The "Looters Paradox" is a phenomenon that occurs in survival games and looter shooters, where the Player or "Looter" cannot find the item they are desperately looking for when they are putting their effort into looking for it, but will find it when they've forgotten about it or are looking for a completely different item.
It's a frustrating battle with a games RNG that always seems to target you at odd moments. For example, if the player is looking for an "Apple", they will not find the apple, but will only find Bananas and Oranges. But the moment they top looking for the Apple and start looking for the Bananas and Oranges, they will only find the apple.
"Ugh, I've been looking for this item for hours, but I just cannot find it! I hate the looters paradox!"
"Wh-... what the f---? Why is it always that, when I stop looking for this item, it is all I will ever find?!"
A common tragedy amongst Looter's when faced with overwhelming amounts of loot , supplies etc they're limited by the quantity of things they can carry. They are forced to leave some loot behind despite wanting all of it. Usually when faced with the Looter's Paradox people are troubled by deciding on what to take and feel uneasy leaving things behind. (Most commonly applies to video games).
After that base raid in dayz I was faced with the Looter's Paradox after finding ludacris amounts of loot.
