The Patrick Effect is a statistical phenomenon discovered in Austria.

It was observed that something e.g. an activity that would usually happen is massively less likely to happen if the person who suggested it is called 'Patrick'.

'Bro, last week he told me we would hang out but I haven't heard anything from him since.'

The act of correcting your posture because someone next to you is doing it perfectly.

Patrick was rumored to be a dude with such impecable posture that you could see people around him straighten their backs and stand taller. Whenever this happens you can call it "The Patrick Effect".

You see your friend straighten his back because someone next to him is sitting with perfect posture . You might say to him: «You just felt the power of "the Patrick Effect" dude»
