Toxic Independence

When someone is offended by the offer of any or all help/ aid, as they believe the person offering said help/ aid is undermining them. When really it is a just simple act of generosity/ good heartedness.

Jenny got offended and became defensive when her boyfriend offered to help her do her bills. Jenny has toxic independence.
