Treason

Treason is against the law. Arresting the Supreme Chancellor is treason. You wouldn't order a clone army. You wouldn't execute order 66.

Treason. It's a crime.

guy 1: "Hey thanks for getting me an ice cream cone from that new place downtown."

guy 2: "no problem man"

guy 1: "can't wait to dive into some chocolate chip cookie dough ice crea- BLEGH"

guy 2: "what's up man you good?"

guy 1: "THEY SERVED US RAISIN BRAN COOKIE DOUGH"

guy 2: "oh God oh fuck, they committed an act of treason-"

SWAT team: *storms into the room* "EVERYBODY GET DOWN"

treasonable

When the act of treason becomes one's ordinary everyday humdrum, so that it seems just downright reasonable.

They wanted to 'lock her up' so bad that Trumpadict Donald} getting the traitor tots involved in colluding with the Russians to interfere in the election just felt treasonable.

treason

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
(United States Constitution)

The founding fathers were wise to define treason so narrowly that only a handful of people were charged with treason and fewer were actually convicted.

But this has not stopped brown nosing Bush supporters and Republican talking heads from spouting off all the time that anyone who disagrees with Republicans - especially with golden boy Georgie - using the treason label.
