A verbal High five first used in the early 1960 in the UK as a greeting between friends.
Actually the punch line of a joke popular in the UK in the early 1960's, which migrated into the greeting. Pseudo Japanese for 'wrong hole'.
I don't think it would be tasteful to include the joke which ends "Wang ho!"
