When children who have recently acquired a younger sibling feel so excluded that they pretend the new member of the family simply doesn't exist.
Mary: "Who is that?" (motions to John's younger sibling)
John: "What are you talking about? I don't see anything."
Mary: "Oh John, I forgot you are still suffering from new sibling syndrome."
1. Always craving the attention the first born sibling recieves from parents; wanting the recognition from parents; Always striving to "one-up" other sibling, to hopefully recieve attention from parents.
2. Usually has some degree of rebel in them; mostly in the wrong when in altercation with first sibling.
3. Willing to fight to the death over petty things to show parents that first sibling is in the wrong.
4. The cure for this syndrome is when the First sibling leaves the household, therefor leaving parents to become attached to Second sibling, until First sibling returns to home for a short stay(s).
Joe: "Mom, I swear to moses Mark punched me !"
Mark: "Mom, I would never do said thing, you know that, don't you"
Mom: "Of course hunny, I can not believe I am even questioning your integrity."
Mark: " Thank you, Joe is just going suffering from Second sibling syndrome."

When you have a younger sister/sibling that is better looking than you
Stacie is okay but have you seen her little sister Jessica? Stacie totally suffers from Y.C.S.S. (younger cuter sister/sibling syndrome)
Eldest sibling syndrome or E.S.S is When you are the eldest amongst your siblings so you automatically fall into the cycle of having to use things until they are disintegrating because you can't ask for new ones.
Whereas on the other hand any younger sibling can ask for whatever and get it instantaneously because they are not the eldest.
Examples of this include tattered clothes and using things until they break.
Person 1: Dude. Your underwear is literally hanging by the elastics. Why don't you get new ones?
Person 2: Oh you know why. Ask my little brother.
Person 1: No wait. Don't tell me you have Eldest Sibling Syndrome!?
Person 2: It's gotten worse
