A term in sociology meaning a culture that is opposed to another. While counterculture only describes cultures opposed to the mainstream, anticulture can be used to describe any cultures oppositional to each other.
A culture that values piety is an anticulture to those that do not.

Anticulture can be anything that is popular amoung the minority.
Most peole see graffiti as vandalism, yet it is an art in the anticulture.
