compass hickey

the hole left in paper or other material by the pointy bit of a compass after drawing a circle, or many with the same centre point. a general nuisance, feared by compass users worldwide. too small to remove, but too visible to ignore.

person a: i turned in my construction homework yesterday, but i got an f because of the compass hickeys left all over the paper.
