Shoddily welded cages of sheet metal used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during their illegal invasion of Ukraine to protect their modern multi-million dollar armored vehicles against $200K Javelin missiles, despite the obvious fact that they'd be as effective as a wet tissue against a sharpened pencil.
"Hey Ivan, I sure hope these Cope Cages will protect us as we invade this innocent country."
"I don't see why not Vlad, it is not like we used anything but the lowest grade steel and spot welded them together!"

A largely ineffective slat armor design mounted on several models of Russian tanks during the Russo-Ukranian War. The armor was supposed to prevent top-attack ATGMs, but did effectively nothing against them, leading to the subreddit r/NonCredibleDefence nicknaming them Cope Cages.
Ahh man, Vlad just got destroyed by a Javelin, his cope cage didn't work!

A flimsy metal grill welded to the top of an overrated Russian tank that will hopefully deter anti-tank missiles
The cope cage did nothing to save the Russian T-90 from destruction by Ukrainian Javelin.

Cage usually spotted on Russian vehicles marked with "Z". Cope Cages are used for absolutely no purpose other than making the vehicle camouflaged as a greenhouse, as it usually looks like a miniature greenhouse.
my cope cage is where I mald and seethe.... give my redpilled sigma attitude some respect
