This is the process of removing thugs from an organization, often a sports team. This is what Chip Kelly is doing in Philadelphia. And the opposite of Pete Carroll what is happening in Seattle.

Football fan 1: "Did you see that Philadelphia cut Desean Jackson?"
Football fan 2: "Yeah, Chip Kelly is really dethuging the Eagles."
