Originated in Solon, Ohio. To be over dramatic. Throwing a fit. Girls can also drop balls. Can be a verb by telling someone to stop dropping balls. A rude remark.

Girl: "What the hell is your problem!! i can't believe you'd ever do that!!"
Guy: "damn girl, stop dropping balls and get over it."

Drop Ball (Sport)

Drop Ball is an Extremely addictive high intensity game designed for people everywhere.

The game is played with a ball roughly the size of a baseball, One to drop the ball on the ground then pick up said ball using only the butt check muscles. After picking it up once you must hold it for 1 second and then let the ball fall to the ground, this counts a one point.

The highest score ever achieved is 6, the record is held by a ghost that lives in a cave, refered to as "The Drop Ball Ghost"

3. To fail to keep working to reach a goal.

This expression comes from the game of FOOTBALL, where it's not a good thing to drop the ball when the ball is in play. It's mainly used based on failure and mistakes. So, if you want to tell someone how important it is to succeed in a particular activity, then this is a good expression to use.
