Echolalia

the spontaneous repetition (echoing) of words, sounds, or phrases that one has heard. echolalia is most commonly associated with autism and tourette syndrome, and sometimes adhd (?).

echolalia can be used as a self-calming tool for some individuals, but not always; it can also be an immediate or involuntary reaction to a stimulus.

echolalia can be important for language development in children.

faux news echolalia

Faux news echolalia - A mental and verbal deficiency wherein the victim mindlessly and helplessly parrots the erroneous and incorrect information disseminated by the Fox News Network.

It was apparent that Larry was suffering from Faux News Echolalia when he ardently asserted that the release of the secret Democratic memo would result in multiple arrests, convictions, and executions at Guantanamo Bay - #releasethememo!
