When you are smoking pot and you swallow smoke. You then try to burp to get it out but the smoke stays in you, only going up and down your throat. You can't get rid of it.
"Uh oh i have elevator burps!"

When you think it's a burp but the contents of your stomach come up and you quickly swallow to avoid throwing up.
I just had an elevator burp and tasted dinner all over again.
