there are several meanings to the word "filo"
1. an individual of filipino heritage, often 1/8th another nationality eg. chinese or spanish.
2. an individual who can survive on the following foods for their entire life- spam, corn beef, rice, vienna sausage and sardines in a can.
3. an individual who speaks one of the following languages: cebuano, tagalog, ibunug, visayan etc. when speaking in their provincial dialect, they speak quickly and are almost impossible to understand to an outsider filo. however, to those outside of the provinces they are limited in their language and so often use english for obscure words.
