Spending a lot of time answering emails or message board posts in a long winded and repetitive manner, often at the expense of useful activity. Similar to jacking off, but less pleasurable.

We missed half a day of work because my ride was up til 3 AM last night finching off on the computer in the motel lobby again.

This is when someone with the surname "Finch" excretes toxic chemicals into the local atmosphere.
