Fire in the Bronx it

Fire in the Bronx-ing something is when you repeat the same piece of information several times in one sentence. Named after the “fire in the Bronx” meme of 2 newscasters doing just that. A common experience to encounter doing a school presentation while also being very nervous.

Person 1 (doing a presentation): Christopher Columbus accidentally found the Americas while trying to circumnavigate the globe to get to India. Instead he landed in the Americas, rather than his intended destination of India. He assumed he was in India, where he was trying to go, but he had actually accidentally discovered the Americas instead.

Person 2: You kinda said the same thing 3 times there.

Person 3: Did you really just fire in the Bronx it?

Person 1: (wants to die right now.)
