This phrase has been used so much in the Genshin Impact community that it's become a meme at this point.
The reason it's being so widely used is quite simple: Genshin has had no endgame since day 1, and it never will have one. Recently the developers went in an interview to confirm it won't. Quote: "The Spiral Abyss is one of the most effective ways for players to test out their party composition and combat strength. If we design another type of permanent content endgame that is similar to the Spiral Abyss, it might end up creating excessive anxiety for our players--not everyone is interested in Musk Reef". As you would expect, that sent the entire community in an uproar along with being endlessly ridiculed and memed. Fast foward a couple months later and everyone either quit or simply coped with the fact (majority did the latter).
People desperately want a Genshin competitor to give Genshin a run for it's money, that way they'd be pressured to make proper endgame content.
Yes, it's as dumb as it sounds. As if a multibillion dollar company would care. Despite being an extremely flawed game it's still making bank to this day, and only gaining more players with each update. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if there's a game out there of the same genre (or mostly same) is objectively better than Genshin. Idiots (both new players and old) will continue playing it.
Destressed Genshin fan 1: It's fine if Genshin will never have endgame, i'll simply quit that game once Wuthering Waves releases! :copium:
Destressed Genshin fan 2: I don't care what people say, Tower of Fantasy is still a Genshin killer in my heart! :copium:
Gigachad: Games are temporary, Klee and Nahida cunny is eternal.
