Grooving

Grooving or to Groove was an early Black expression for good sex or having sex.
Grooving or Groovy is now used to express a good feeling.

Lot of these expressions such as Rocking, Rolling, Rocking and Rolling, Digging, Beating it, and Creaming are just a few sexual expressions used by early jazz musicians to compliment a fellow musician.

Man I was Grooving last night! I had her climbing the walls!

Man you where Grooving on those drums last night!

I see why you are smiling; you and that girl was Grooving all night

Hey, I can’t do wrong I’m in the Groove!

In The Groove

A dancing game developed by Roxor (and later partnered with Andamiro) in which players try to step on panels according to a step pattern that appears on screen.

While nearly identical in concept to Konami's Dance Dance Revolution, so much so that Roxor has been sued for patent and copyright infringement, some conceptual differences can be observed: the use of mines (which reduce one's life if triggered) and hands (a third or fourth arrow needing to be hit by slapping the panel with your hands), a scoring system based on the percentage of points scored over points possible, denser step patterns (some songs have over 800 steps, whereas DDR's densest song has only around 600), and a heavy emphasis on arrow modifiers present in the game's mod-heavy marathon courses

Have you played In the Groove yet? It's like DDR, but a lot harder.

Groove

This word has evolved from its original meaning in jazz slang as a sexual euphemism.
1. The vagina. The female groove.

2. The ass, both male and female groove.

3. Musical term: All parts of a band working together. May have been a euphemism for lovers pleasuring each other simultaneously, or taken from the ruts in an old dirt road making a ride smoother.

4. Hippie term: Taken from music, but relating it to life, social situations, and nature. Generally feeling good, in tune and in the rhythm of nature. Enjoying life.

Original sexual meanings are seldom used or understood anymore.
"Groovin" meant rubbing the genitals in one of the grooves. Used as a simple form of birth control, somewhat similar to withdrawel.(See also frotting or fronting)

"Groove Bone" meant a penis. To "make it to the groove" meant something similar to "third base". "Shake that groove thang" meant to shake the vagina or ass either while dancing or having sex.

Less sexually oriented meanings are still sometimes used.
"Hip to the groove" means aware of what gives pleasure; often used as a music term.

To be "In the groove" means to be in a pleasurable place, either musically, socially, or in life or nature. Generally, running smoothly.
"Groovin' together" enjoying each other's company. Appreciating each other. Generally enjoying the situation and the soroundings.

(Lyrics) "Shake that groove thang"
(Lyrics) "Groovin' on a Sunday afternoon. Doin' all the things you like to do."
(Lyrics) "Just because a records got a groove doesn't mean it's in the groove".

In the Groove

A dance simulation game similat to DDR, except the songs can be more difficult(up to 13), there are mines, and 3-4 arrows sometimes have to be hit at once.

in the groove

A good dancing game, which, contrary to popular belief, IS NOT A CRAPPY DDR RIP OFF. While it has the same basic gameplay as Dance Dance Revolution, it introduces new concepts such as hands (hitting 3 or 4 arrows at a time, with feet and your hands) and mines (avoid stepping on these). Both versions of In the Groove (ITG1 and ITG2) have good song lists.

Just to let you know, I play both ITG and DDR. I'm not a fanboy of either. I like them both the same.

retarded DDR fanboy: itg iz a crapy rip off of ddr!!!!1111!!!one!111two

equally retarded ITG fanboy: wel, in teh groov is mor orijinul and haz betta sonz n stepchartzz!!!!!!!!111one!1111three

Me: You're both retarded. Both games are good. DDR is just as good as In the Groove.
