heterozygous

Having a difference in the loci, (location of the genes on a chromosome,) of one or more chromosomes. Can also be used to refer to a heterozygote. Note how hetero=different and zygous means referring to a zygote or it's characteristics.

Wow, these heterozygotes have lots of different loci.
