Hateful old dick; the kind of Victor Meldrew type that has nothing better to do with their retirement than to cause misery to all around them. Generally found policing their boundaries, making unfounded accusations and racist slurs toward ethnic minorities in their neighbourhood and raising petitions over trifling matters.

A posh 'hello', most commonly used to greet people at the door... Very common phrase in Southern England and the Midlands. Can also be used as a 'Thank you and see you again soon' however this is not so common...
