hoppla

Hoppla is German and means “whoops”.

It can also be used if you want to change the topic of a conversation.

That case happens often when two people are talking about sth that involves feelings and one party starts to feel uncomfortable or thinks they said sth wrong.

#1: Hoppla! I dropped my laptop!
#2: Josefa: I have fallen in love with you.
Jimmy: Uhm yeah cool, thanks.

Josefa: Hoppla.

Jimmy: Well, so the weather’s nice today, isn’t it?

hoppla

Hoppla is German and means Whoops.

It can also be used to indicate a topic change, when one party doesn't know how to reply. That happens often when something personal or flirty has been said.

#1: I dropped your water bottle, hoppla.

#2: Josefa: I'm the happiest when I'm with you.

Jimmy: Uhm, hoppla.

Josefa: Yeeah, the weather's nice today, isn't it?
