larry's gap

A term used in Aviation where there is a gap in the cloud for an aircraft to pass safely through. Named after an infamous aviator, who would always find that a gap in the cloud would appear for him on his descent to an airport.

Look, theres Larry's Gap, descend.

Over there in the storm is a Larry's Gap.
There is a break in the weather, thanks Larry.
