Licking the pizza

A tactic, generally employed by people in sales or sales support roles, that is designed to give quick credit for every aspect of a deal, because it has been touched by one individual in some small way at a very cursory level.

He wants credit for all of our company's sales, so he's going around licking the pizza and then claiming he should get paid a commission on every deal where he had a single one-off conversation.
