When you โ€œLock Upโ€, you remain calm in conflicting situations or you conceal your true intentions so as to avoid embarrassment, awkwardness and the likes. This is a Nigerian (Warri) slang.

term used in the crack cocaine trade which refers to cocaine getting hard when cooked. When boiled cocaine oils rise to the surface of the water and then ice is added at which point the cocaine gets hard or "locks up"
