Magniloquence

Magniloquence means the use of grand or powerful language, something politicians try to do but invariably make a complete cock up of it. The word comes from the Latin “magnus” (great) and “loquus” (speaking).

Don’t try for magniloquence, make your points clear and logical using simple language.

Magniloquent Payasito

A person who displays a combination of grandiose or bombastic language usage with the playful and mischievous qualities of a clown or jester.

The party was instantly livened up when Ricardo, a true magniloquent payasito, arrived, regaling everyone with his theatrically verbose stories and pranks.
