Misnomerally

A combination of the words "misnomer" and "nominally," meaning something that is mistakenly called by a certain name or categorized incorrectly.

1. The "neck pumpkin" is often misnomerally referred to as a "butternut squash."
2. The restaurant claimed to serve authentic Italian food, but the dishes were only misnomerally Italian.
3. He misnomerally described himself as an expert, even though he was more of a Jack of all trades, master of none.
