music videos

A collection of visual images set to accompany and or reflect the lyrics or overall feeling of a song. Usually used as a visual marketing tool to further push sales of an artists song. Also considered mini-movies or short films driven by a musical track. All genres from Hip-Hop to rock use music videos.

Man did you see that B-Real video "Los Angeles" by Director Hugo V? It was one of the best visually stunning hip-hop music videos I have ever seen!

Music Video

A video which is meant to be released with a single from a CD, in which the artist appears and sings/plays the song while other events occur. Music videos are notorious for containing incredibly large amounts of product placement, such as phones, drinks, perfumes, or websites (Plentyoffish is among the most infamous).

The music video for Lady Gaga's Telephone, Ke$ha's We R Who We R, and Britney Spears's Hold it Against Me all contain advertisements for plentyoffish.com

the moment music died.

Me: jesus shit! none of these songs are good. they're all produced by record companies who focus on making the music videos flashy over the audio content.

Guy: that's not true! ...yes it is...

Music Video

The quickest and easiest way to get people to buy your CD by manipulating them with half naked women.
If you make it intriguing enough it will somehow create the illusion that your song is good.

OMG! That music video was so awesome! I loved it! That must mean the song is desirable as well!

music video sex

When two people are 'involved' with each other publicly, but you never see anything explicit.

The term comes from most music videos that have romantic scenes. Many body parts are shown very briefly, yet nothing is revealed fully.

Jill: Hey, did you see Kim and Joe getting 'friendly' last night?

John: Yeah, but nothing actually happened. It was just music video sex.
