The absence of a mustache in the male facial aesthetic.
A beardstyle whereupon the male facial hair growth on the upper lip is removed by mechanical or chemical means on a regular basis. Motivations to maintain this particular style are generally political or religious in nature, including, but not limited to: a protest of militarism, cultural identity/religious traditions, for the sake of being kissable, to ease the effort of taking bites of foods, a rejection of hipsterism, and for overall tidiness in one's aesthetic.
Jim: What's with you Amish guys that have beards but no mustache? What's that called?
Malachi: That's a "negastache", James. We do it because cops always had mustaches and they used to beat us up before we came to America seeking religious freedom.
