PLN

Post Liturgy Nap. In Orthodox Christianity, services are very long, and frequently, there are new pews in Churches, requiring the faithful to remain standing and alert for long periods of time. After Church liturgy and coffeehour, parishoners often go home and have a Post Liturgy Nap.

After Liturgy, Sasha and Katherine went home for the usual PLN.

PLN

Post Lunch Narcolepsy. The feeling you get at 3.00 in the afternoon when you're struggling to keep your eyes open at your desk at work.

Dave: "Woah, that girl in accounts looks half asleep!"
Alison: <nodding> "PLN."

PLN

You might as well form a "PLN" instead of a full "plan," because it's inevitable something will go awry and ruin your plans. However, a PLN has room for the change. The "A" is the unexpected part of a plan that could ruin everything. Always make a "PLN," instead of a "plan" so that when something goes wrong it's ok because you made a PLN, with room for the unexpected.

I never should have "planned" my vacation. Everything went wrong. Now, I am making a PLN for my next vacation. With room for the "A, to ruin things, the unexpected is now expected and the PLN will succeed. i have awesome PLN's for my next vacation!
