Pirate plating

An act of using parts and/or walls that are fastened into place, and then removed for other purposes in surface displacement.

My car was so corroded that we had to use pirate plating just to pass inspection. The only problem is none of my repairs were legit.

When you ask your significant other if they want anything to eat and they decline, but then proceed to take food from your plate when you sit down to eat.

I'm eating in the car because I live with a plate pirate who's constantly trying to plunder my booty.
